Turkish duo bag silver in Archery World Cup Finals

SAMSUN, Turkey (AA) – Turkish archers Mete Gazoz and Yasemin Ecem Anagoz won silver medal in the 2018 Archery World Cup Finals' mixed team category as the duo were beaten 5-1 by South Korea's mixed team in the final.

The tournament held in Turkish Black Sea province of Samsun concluded with Sunday's matches.

Separately, Turkish male archers Gazoz and Fatih Bozlar were eliminated from 2018 Archery World Cup Finals in the individual last eight phase.

In men's recurve category, Gazoz was beaten by his Australian opponent Taylor Worth 7-3 and Bozlar lost to U.S. archer Brady Ellison 7-1 in quarter final stage.

Meanwhile in women's recurve category, Turkish athlete Anagoz won silver medal after she lost against her South Korean opponent Lee Eun Gyeong 6-4 in the individual final.

On Saturday, Turkish Compound Mixed Team also won gold medal after beating India 159-152 in final.

The host country finished the tournament with one gold and three silver medals.
