Turkish defense minister visits Olive Branch exhibition

By Sarp Ozer</p> <p>ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and army commanders visited an exhibition of photographs of Olive Branch operation, launched to clear Afrin, Syria from terrorist.</p> <p>The visit to the jointly organized exhibition by Anadolu Agency and the defense ministry occurred Friday after a ceremony at the defense ministry for March 18 Martyrs' Day.</p> <p>Akar and commanders took a souvenir photo of the exhibition.</p> <p>The exhibition, which includes 89 photographs from the beginning of the operation, will be presented to the citizens as well.</p> <p>Since 2016, Turkey has conducted two major military operations in northwestern Syria — operations Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch — to purge the region of terrorist groups.</p> <p> </p> <p>*Writing by Beyza Binnur Donmez </p> <p>
