Turkish defense minister visits martyr’s home in Ankara

ANKARA (AA) – National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Monday the Turkish nation will see a better, peaceful and safer days in the near future.

Akar made the remarks during his visit to martyred soldier Celal Dagli’s home in Ankara’s Cankaya district with Chief of Staff Gen. Yasar Guler and other military commanders.

“Counter-terrorism operations will continue and our nation, 81 million people, will live in bright, peaceful and safe days very soon,” Akar said.

He praised efforts of security forces during counter-terrorism operations and vowed to continue the fight against terrorists until the threat gets completely eliminated.

“Turkish army did everything it can and will continue to do so for our nation’s unity, safety and sovereignty,” Akar added.
