Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 5 gets underway

ISTANBUL (AA) – The fifth round of the 2018-2019 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season began on Thursday.

The last EuroLeague finalist Fenerbahce defeated Germany's Bayern Munich 88-84 at home in Istanbul.

At home, Spain's Baskonia beat Turkey's Darussafaka 82-56.

In away match, Turkey's Anadolu Efes will face Italy's AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan on Friday.

EuroLeague competitions bring Europe's top basketball clubs together.

Sixteen teams are competing this season — four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian, two Greek and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro.

Turkey is in tournament with Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce and Darussafaka.
