Turkey's Borsa Istanbul 0.25% down before holiday break

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday down 0.25% to close at 1,441.33 points, before going into a break due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Starting the half-day at 1,441.41 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended the day with a 3.54 point decrease from Tuesday's close of 1,444.87 points.

The stock exchange market will open next Monday, May 17.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $68.92 per barrel as of 1:00 p.m. local time (1000GMT).
