Turkey, Russia, Iran could serve as model for Asia

ANKARA (AA) – Mechanisms for international cooperation developed by Turkey, Russia and Iran for solving regional crises can be used as a model in resolving political and economic issues in Asia, Iran’s parliament speaker said Thursday.

"This model can be expanded to encompass economic, security and political cooperation in the region," said Ali Larijani, who had arrived in Istanbul to attend the 11th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

He underlined that the many serious security and political issues facing Asia today could not be resolved overnight and that they required the development of cooperation mechanisms for multilateral cooperation.
