Turkey inks trade cooperation deal with Guinea Bissau

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey and Guinea Bissau on Thursday signed a trade and economic cooperation agreement during the second edition of Turkey-Africa Economic and Business Forum in Istanbul.

The deal was signed by Turkey's Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan and her Guinea Bissau's counterpart Vicente Fernandes.

A joint economic commission was established within the scope of the agreement.

“We, as Turkey, will support our African friends in future as we did in the past, ” Pekcan said.

Turkey is keen on to contribute to the development of African countries in every fields, she added.

The two-day forum was organized by Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board in coordination with Turkey’s Trade Ministry and the African Union as part of a 100-day action plan the government recently introduced to support the economy.
