Turkey: Erdogan meets foreign officials in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met several foreign officials in Istanbul on Wednesday.

Erdogan first met Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome Wirtu, who came to Turkey to attend the 2nd Turkey-Africa Economic and Business Forum held in Istanbul.

The meeting lasted for nearly 70 minutes.

Erdogan then received Rwandan Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente.

Ngirente was in Istanbul for the economic forum as well.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu joined them in a meeting that lasted nearly 45 minutes.

Erdogan also met Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi,.

He also received Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Merzuk Ali el-Ganim.

All meetings were closed to the media.
