ANKARA (AA) – Turkey has condemned Friday's terrorist attack in the Somalian capital.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks perpetrated in Mogadishu, causing death and injury of numerous persons,” said the Foreign Ministry in a statement.

Earlier Friday, two bomb-laden vehicles targeted a hotel in the city, which government officials visited frequently. Minutes later another bomb went off.

“We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly Government and people of Somalia,” the statement added.

At least 10 people were killed in the incident, according to Somali authorities.

Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attacks on its website.
