Trump to host gathering at White House on poll night

ANKARA (AA) – US President Donald Trump will host an election night gathering at the White House, spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said Monday.

"We will be together. We’ll be there at the White House in D.C. This president has earned a second term," McEnany told a Fox News program when asked about plans for late Tuesday.

Trump said last week that he was considering other options, including staying at the White House, for his pre-scheduled traditional campaign party at his Washington, D.C., hotel as the current coronavirus measures in the district would restrict the size of the gathering.

The district allows gatherings with a maximum of 50 people.

The details of the gathering remain unclear, as well as Trump's schedule for Election Day.

Trump is set to hold five campaign rallies in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin states on the last day before elections, while his Democratic rival Joe Biden will appear in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
