Tornado hits Turkey's south coast, kills 1, injures 11

By Murat Egilmez, Suleyman Elcin, Gulsem Adam and Mehmet Cakmak</p> <p>ANTALYA, Turkey (AA) – At least one person was killed and 11 others injured when a powerful tornado hit Turkey's southern coastal Antalya province, according to the provincial governor.</p> <p>&quot;One person was killed, 11 were injured including one critically. A girl studying in university went missing in Kemer district's Kuzderesi,&quot; Munir Karaloglu told Anadolu Agency.</p> <p>Karaloglu said the girl was said to have been in the car with her mother as the storm dragged the car into a stream.</p> <p>&quot;Her mother survived, however, the 20-year-old girl is still missing,&quot; Karaloglu said adding that the search and rescue efforts were launched to find the missing girl.</p> <p>The powerful storm started Wednesday night, hitting Antalya's Kumluca, Kemer and Finike districts and damaging buildings, agricultural areas and vehicles.
