Palestinian martyred by Israeli forces in West Bank

BETHLEHEM, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian man was martyred on Wednesday evening by Israeli forces, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

“Ahmad Manasra, 26, was martyred by Israeli forces near the northern West Bank city of Bethlehem,” the ministry said in a statement.

“Ahmad was martyred after a bullet struck his chest,” it added.

According to the ministry, another Palestinian was critically injured when he was shot in the back.

It remains unclear why Israeli forces opened fire on the Palestinian.

There was no comment from the Israeli military on the incident.
