Pakistani president to pay 2-day visit to Turkey

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AA) – Pakistani President Arif Alvi will leave his country on Sunday for a two-day official visit to Turkey, the state-run media said on Friday.

Pakistan Television, a state-run broadcaster, reported that President Alvi will pay a visit to Turkey on an invitation of Turkish government to attend the opening ceremony of Istanbul's new airport.

The Pakistani president will also meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit.

Alvi’s visit marks his first official trip abroad since taking oath as president on Sept. 9.
