Over 75 kg of ecstasy pills seized in NW Turkey

EDIRNE (AA) – Turkish security forces seized over 75 kilograms (165 pound) of ecstasy pills in northwestern border, officials said on Monday.

Acting on an intelligence, Turkish customs guards stopped a lorry at Kapikule Border Gate in northwestern Edirne province, bordering Bulgaria.

The security forces confiscated more than 75 kg of ecstasy pills and 162 gr marijuana in 48 packages, following an X-ray scan of the lorry.

Four suspects — including the driver — were remanded into custody.
