NBA All-Star Weekend: Kuzma gets Rising Stars MVP

ANKARA (AA) – NBA's much awaited All-Star weekend kicked off Friday night in Charlotte, North Carolina as Team USA defeated Team World 161-144 in Rising Stars Game.

The match at Spectrum Center saw spectacular dunks and plays by NBA players, who are having their first and second seasons.

Team USA managed to beat Team World, Los Angeles Lakers' young star Kyle Kuzma earned the MVP trophy by putting up 35 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

Jayson Tatum scored 30 points and had 9 rebounds, while Trae Young chipped in with 25 points and Donovan Mitchell scored 20 points in the win.

For Team World, Ben Simmons scored 28 points, Lauri Markkanen scored 21, and Luka Doncic produced 13 points. Turkish international Cedi Osman — playing for Cleveland Cavaliers — also played and scored 2 points.

  • Celebrity Game

The celebrity game, which was played before the Rising Stars game, displayed some of the TV personalities, ex-NBA players, comedians, actors and musicians performing as well.

The fans — aside from seeing some 4 point shots in the match — saw the “Home ” team winning the match 82-80.

Famous Los — known with his social media videos — got the MVP trophy with his 22 point-performance.
