More than 30 killed in attacks across Afghanistan

KABUL (AA) – A total of 31 people were killed in attacks across Afghanistan on Sunday, according to officials.

Taliban militants attacked police headquarters in Baglan province, killing 20 security personnel, Baglan Provincial Shura President Safdar Mohsini told reporters.

Mohsini said five security personnel were also wounded in the attack, adding that Taliban had also suffered losses in the attack.

Also, nine police officers were killed and three others wounded in Herat province when the Taliban attacked a police headquarters in Ube district, Herat Provincial Governor's Office spokesman Jaylani Farhad said. Farhad added that six Taliban members were also killed in the incident.

On the other hand, Taliban claimed in a statement that the group killed 60 soldiers in the attack in Baglan.

Meanwhile, a suicide attack in capital Kabul took the lives of three people, Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzey said.
