Lille beat Dijon to maintain Ligue 1 lead

ANKARA (AA) – French football club Lille maintained their lead in the top-tier Ligue 1 after a 2-0 win Wednesday over Dijon.

Les Dogues (The Great Danes) Turkish attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici scored the opener in the 19th minute at Gaston-Gerard Stadium.

Yazici was assisted by his compatriot Zeki Celik.

The team clinched the 2-0 win in the week 15 match as Timothy Weah scored in injury time during the second half.

Lille boosted their points to 32. Dijon, meanwhile, are currently in last place in the standings with 9 points.

– PSG beat Lorient to chase Lille

In the other match of the night, Paris Saint-Germain won against Lorient 2-0 to follow the leaders Lille.

PSG earned the win with second-half goals scored by French star Kylian Mbappe and Italian forward Moise Kean.

They moved up to second spot in the league standings with 31 points.

Lorient lie in 18th spot with 11 points.
