League game called off in Ukraine due to COVID-19

ANKARA (AA) – Ukrainian Association of Football announced Saturday that the Premier League game between Karpaty Lviv – Mariupol postponed because of the pandemic threat.

The federation said some players and staffers in the Karpaty Lviv with positive test results were quarantined and none of them had symptoms so far.

In mid-March, the country's top-tier football competition was suspended due to virus the after the 23rd round.

Ukraine has reported 23,204 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 696 deaths so far, according to data compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University.
