By Aysar al-Aees <br> </p> <p>RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A 16-year-old Palestinian on Friday was seriously injured after being run over by a Jewish settler in the southern West Bank, according to a Palestinian official.</p> <p>“Ays Mahmoud Houshiyeh, 16, from the city of Hebron [Al-Khalil] was run over by an Israeli settler while he was walking down the city’s main street,” Ibrahim Abu Zara, governor of Hebron’s Yatta municipality, told Anadolu Agency.</p> <p>Houshiyeh has since been taken to a nearby hospital, Abu Zara said, where he is being treated for serious head injuries.</p> <p>Palestinians in the West Bank are the target of frequent attacks by Jewish settlers, local and international rights groups say.</p> <p>According to Palestinian figures, more than 650,000 settlers currently live on 196 Jewish-only settlements (built with the Israeli government’s approval) and more than 200 settler “outposts” (built without its approval) across the occupied West Bank.
