Italian team stays on top in Antalya bicycling contest

ANTALYA, Turkey (AA) – Italian Lampre-Merida team came on top in the fourth stage of the 52nd Presidential Bicycling Tour in southern Turkey’s Antalya province Wednesday.

A total of 109 participants cycled along the 187-kilometer (116.2 mile) route between Seydisehir and Alanya during the fourth day of the tour, which includes eight stages in total.

Sacha Modolo racing for Italian Lampre-Merida team came in first with four hours, 26 minutes and 26 seconds; while Daniele Colli of Italy’s Nippo-Vini Fantini team took second spot and Marco Zanotti from Holland’s Parkhotel Valkenburg Continential team came in third.
