JERUSALEM (AA) – Israel registered 3,843 new infections from the coronavirus outbreak on Tuesday, according to the Health Ministry.
A ministry statement said Israel’s tally soared to 192,579 confirmed cases, including 1,273 deaths, and 140,743 recoveries.
The ministry said 653 patients remain in critical condition.
Israel witnesses a significant increase in the daily number of virus cases.
On Sunday, the Israeli government approved a lockdown, to take effect on Friday and lasts for three weeks, in an attempt to stem the spread of the pandemic.
