RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – Two Palestinians were injured Friday when Israeli forces dispersed a demonstration in the town of Al-Mughayyar east of the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Orab Fuqaha, head of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, told Anadolu Agency that medical crews had taken the two injured people to nearby hospitals.

According to Fuqaha, both were injured by Israeli army gunfire.

Earlier Friday, Israeli troops used teargas, rubber bullets and live ammunition to disperse a Friday protest in Al-Mughayyar staged by dozens of Palestinian youth.

Palestinians hold anti-settlement protests each Friday across the Israeli-occupied West Bank, which is currently home to an estimated 650,000 Israeli settlers.
