INFOGRAPHICS – Galatasaray and Fenerbahce to rendezvous for 388th time

ISTANBUL (AA) – Istanbul football teams Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will play a derby match in Turkey's top-tier Spor Toto Super Lig on Friday.

The match at Galatasaray's Turk Telekom Stadium will kick off at 9.00 p.m. local time (1800GMT).

The teams will meet for the 388th time after competing for 109 years. Fenerbahce beat Galatasaray 146 times and were defeated 123 times.

The “Yellow Canaries ” scored 532 goals against Galatasaray while the “Lions ” scored 482 goals against Fenerbahce.

In the Turkish Super League, Fenerbahce won 50 matches against Galatasaray while the Lions won 33 matches against the Yellow Canaries.

Galatasaray could not win the last six matches against Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super League.

In the last 10 derby matches, Fenerbahce won three, lost two and drew five matches against Galatasaray.

The Lions currently stand third in the league with 19 points while Fenerbahce with 9 points stand in the 15th place.

Fernando Reges, Emre Akbaba and Yuto Nagatomo will not play against Fenerbahce due to injuries.

Galatasaray's Mariano Filho will also miss the match after he was banned for the next game last week.

Galatasaray have not been defeated at home in the last 24 matches (22 wins, 2 draws) in Turkish Super League.

Fenerbahce dismissed its Dutch manager Phillip Cocu from duty after a 3-1 loss to Ankaragucu last Sunday.

Cocu was the 72nd manager of Fenerbahce and the team's 38th foreign manager to take over managerial duties in the club.

Fenerbahce's forward Islam Slimani will miss the match due to red card suspension.
