JAKARTA (AA) – An Indonesian diver died during a search and rescue operation for the crashed Lion Air passenger, according to local media on Saturday.

Syachrul Anto, 48, died on Friday due to decompression issues, according to Kompas, a local newspaper.

Lion Air flight JT 610, with 188 people aboard, was traveling from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang when it crashed into the Java Sea on Monday. All the people on board are presumed to be dead.

Anto, who joined the team of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) voluntarily, also worked for search and rescue operations in September’s earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia’s Palu region.
