Indian abducted in Afghanistan safely returns home

<p>By Ahmad Adil</p> <p>CHANDIGARH, India (AA) – One of seven Indian nationals kidnapped in northeastern Afghanistan last year has safely returned to India, New Delhi announced on Monday.</p> <p>India's Ministry of External Affairs expressed gratitude to Afghanistan for its support in securing the man's release and repatriation from the province of Baghlan.</p> <p>&quot;We continue to work closely with the Government of Afghanistan for the safe and early return of the remaining six Indian nationals,&quot; it said in a statement.</p> <p>Last May, officials in Afghanistan said seven Indians working on an electricity supply project in northern Afghanistan had been abducted by the Taliban.</p>
