Head of EU delegation to Turkey slams bloody PKK attack

By Nazli Yuzbasioglu

ANKARA (AA) – The head of the EU delegation to Turkey Wednesday condoled with Turkey, where the PKK terror group killed a total of five civilians in the country's southeastern province of Diyarbakir.

Christian Berger said he condemned the act of terror, and the delegation conveyed its condolences to Turkey, also wishing a quick recovery to the EU candidate country.

The provincial governor's office earlier the same day said roadside explosives planted by the terror group struck a vehicle carrying forest workers, killing five onboard.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
