Gabon's president discharged from hospital in Morocco

DAKAR, Senegal (AA) – Gabon’s president has ben discharged from a hospital in Morocco, where he had been receiving treatment since Nov. 29, said local media reports on Thursday.

Ali Bongo was getting treatment at King Mohammed V hospital in Rabat, the capital, and now will spend some time recovering in a private residence in Rabat, they said.

In late October it was rumored that the Central African leader was dead or paralyzed due to a sudden illness that overtook him in Saudi Arabia, where he went to attend an investment event.

Bongo went to Morocco at the invitation of King Mohammed VI to get treatment.
