Formula 1 fever to start in Russia this weekend

ISTANBUL (AA) – The sixteenth race of the Grand Prix in 2018 Formula 1 will be held in the Russian resort city of Sochi over the weekend.

The race will start on Sunday at 1110GMT, following the qualifying round on Saturday.

The competition will be held in Sochi Autodrom, a street circuit of 5,848 kilometers (3,633 miles) in length, comprising 53 laps.

The leader of the season, Mercedes' British driver Lewis Hamilton won seven races, while Ferrari's German driver Sebastian Vettel was victorious in five races. Red Bull-TAG Heuer team's Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo beat his opponents in two races and Dutch Max Verstappen ranked first in one race.

Lewis Hamilton leads Sebastian Vettel by 40 points in the Championship and six races remain in the 2018 Formula 1 season.
