ANKARA (AA) – Real Madrid won their 34th La Liga title with a 2-1 victory against Villarreal
Real Madrid's French forward Karim Benzema scored the opener with a close range finish in the 29th minute.
In the second half, Benzema successfully converted the penalty to double the lead in the 77th minute.
Vicente Iborra scored a goal for Villarreal in the 83rd minute, making it 2-1.
Los Blancos were crowned the 2019-2020 La Liga champions with 86 points — a seven-point lead over second-place Barcelona.
Real Madrid celebrated their 34th league title at the Alfredo di Stefano stadium.
