ANKARA (AA) – Galatasaray announced Thursday that talks with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal had started for the transfer of French footballer Bafetimbi Gomis.
“#Galatasaray today announces the negotiations have gone underway with @Alhilal_FC for the transfer of Bafetimbi Gomis to the Saudi club,” the Istanbul-based club said on its Twitter account.
Earlier, Al-Hilal club director Sami bin Abdullah al-Jaber also announced that they had reached an agreement with Gomis.
The 33-year-old Gomis, who came to Galatasaray at the beginning of last season, was the top scorer in the Turkish league with 29 goals.
