ANKARA (AA) – All eyes will be on football stadiums Friday and Saturday as Galatasaray, Medipol Basaksehir, and Fenerbahce are all competing for the league title in the final week.
Turkey's top-tier football division Spor Toto Super Lig will end with last-week matches on Friday and Saturday.
While the fight to avoid relegation is over for the bottom-line teams, excitement is at a fever pitch for the title race.
Title chasers Galatasaray, Medipol Basaksehir, and Fenerbahce will both play their matches on Sunday at 7 p.m. local time (GMT1600).
Leaders Galatasaray will take on Goztepe in Izmir Bornova Stadium. The Lions only need one point to become Turkish champions for the 21st time.
Meanwhile second-place Fenerbahce will have to win and wait for both Galatasaray and Basaksehir to lose points.
Third-place Basaksehir also must win against Kasimpasa at home and wait for Galatasaray to lose.
Besiktas, four points behinds the leaders, are out of the title race and missed out on making a three-peat.
