EuroLeague: CSKA Moscow beat Anadolu Efes

By Fatih Erel </p> <p>ISTANBUL (AA) – In basketball action, Turkey's Anadolu Efes were defeated by Russia's CSKA Moscow 78-80 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague play on Tuesday. </p> <p>Anadolu Efes have 17 wins, 10 losses and maintained fourth place in the standings. CSKA’s top scorer was Cory Higgins with 19 points and Anadolu Efes' top scorer was Bryant Dunston with 19 points.</p> <p>Turkish team maintains fourth place in standings with their three matches remaining in the league.</p> <p>So far, Fenerbahce Beko, Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow ensured playoff spots.</p> <p>Turkey's Darussafaka Tekfen will face Russia's Khimki Moscow at home in Istanbul on Wednesday. </p> <p>Sixteen teams are competing in league — four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian and two Greek teams and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro. </p> <p>Turkey is represented by Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce Beko and Darussafaka Tekfen. </p> <p>The regular season is being played from Oct. 11, 2018 to April 5, 2019 with the top eight advancing to the playoffs to be played April 16 – 30. </p> <p>Winners will advance to the Final Four on May 17-19 at Fernando Buesa Arena in the Spanish city of Vitoria-Gasteiz in single-elimination matchups.
