Ceferin set for reelection as UEFA president

ISTANBUL (AA) – Aleksander Ceferin is set to be reelected the head of UEFA, European football's governing body.

The Slovenian is the only candidate for the UEFA presidency in the elections next February, UEFA announced on Thursday.

He was elected in September 2016 to complete the four-year term of then-President Michel Platini, who was banned for financial misconduct.

The election will be held at UEFA's 43rd Congress on Feb. 7 in Rome.
