AZAZ/ANKARA (AA) – One civilian was reportedly killed and 17 others were injured in a car-bomb attack in Syria’s northern Azaz city on Saturday.

The bombing took place near a local council building in the city, causing material damage and leaving a number of vehicles in flames.

“One person was killed and 17 others were injured in the bombing,” Khaled Khatib, a spokesman for the White Helmets civil defense agency, said.

White Helmets rescuers were seen rushing to the area to help the victims and move the injured to nearby medical centers.

There was no claim of responsibility for the bombing.

In April, a similar attack in the area killed at least 10 civilians.
