ANKARA (AA) – Istanbul-based basketball giants Fenerbahce Beko and Anadolu Efes beat their opponents Friday in the Round 12 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague play.
Fenerbahce Beko toppled ALBA Berlin 107-102 in Istanbul while Anadolu Efes beat KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 102-77 in Spain.
It took an overtime period for Fenerbahce to defeat their German opponents as the Turkish club's Greek playmaker, Kostas Sloukas, caught fire with 23 points and 10 assists.
The French, Nando De Colo, dropped 18 and captain Melih Mahmutoglu netted 17 points.
ALBA Berlin’s Lithuanian forward Rokas Giedraitis had 19 points.
American forward Luke Sikma tallied 18 points and eight rebounds.
Fenerbahce Beko climbed to the 12 spot with a 5-7 record in standings. Anadolu Efes is now 10-2.
