ANKARA (AA) – Turkish basketball club Galatasaray Doga Sigorta confirmed the signing of American guard Alex Hamilton on Friday.
Galatasaray welcomed Hamilton in a statement on their website, saying he signed a one-year contract with option for another year.
Hamilton was selected Conference USA Player of the Year in 2016 when he played for Louisiana Tech in the US college basketball.
He signed a contract with Juventus Utena in September 2018 to play in Europe, where he averaged 13.4 points, 4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals in 11 league matches.
Hamilton moved to the Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Rishon LeZion in December 2018. He will join Galatasaray after completing the season in Israel.
