MANAMA (AA) – Bahrain and Pakistan will hold a joint military drill to combat terrorism, according to the official BNA news agency.
A memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday between Bahrain’s National Guard and the Pakistani army to carry out the Badr 3 exercise.
“The application of this exercise in its third edition is an extension of the first and second version of the joint exercise Badr 1 and Badr 2, which was carried out in Pakistan, ” Major Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahraini Special Operations, said.
No further details were available about the date of the military drill.
Badr 1 and Badr 2 exercises had been held in Pakistan in 2015 and 2017.
