WASHINGTON (AA) – The annual Boston Turkish Film Festival will kick off next week, according to the event's organizers.

"20th Annual Boston Turkish Film Festival program continues the tradition of highlighting the works of emerging and established filmmakers. Many films in the program make their U.S. premiers," said a statement on the festival’s website.

The films include "Seni Buldum Ya!" (Hey There!) by Reha Erdem, "Ölü Ekmeği" (Food For A Funeral) by Reis Celik, "Nasipse Adayız" (You Know Him) by Ercan Kesal, "Görülmüştür" (Passed By Censor) by Serhat Karaaslan, "Dersaadet Apartmanı" (Dersaadet Apartment) by Tankut Kilinc, "Aşk, Büyü vs" (Love, Spells And All That) by Umit Unal and "Aden" (Eden) by Baris Atay.

Award-winning films from the festival's Documentary and Short Film Competition last year are also in the festival program.

The event will be held virtually April 15-30 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
