Anadolu Efes beat Darussafaka in EuroLeague play

By Fatih Erel</p> <p>ISTANBUL (AA) – Anadolu Efes defeated Darussafaka Tekfen 82-68 Friday in Round 19 of the 2018-19 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.</p> <p>The team recorded its fourth straight win at home and improved to 13-6 in the standings to remain in fourth place.</p> <p>Darussafaka dropped to 2-17. The team is 16th overall and at the bottom of the league. </p> <p>Adrien Moerman led Efes with 15 points in the match in Istanbul.</p> <p>The results follow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague leader Fenerbahce Beko's 82-64 win Thursday against Spain's Herbalife Gran Canaria in an away match.</p> <p>Fenerbahce Beko, which were last year’s EuroLeague finalists, currently top the league at 17-2.</p> <p>EuroLeague competitions bring Europe's top basketball clubs together.</p> <p>Sixteen teams are competing this season — four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian, two Greek teams and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro.</p> <p>Turkey is represented in the tournament by Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce Beko and Darussafaka Tekfen.</p> <p>The regular season is being played from Oct. 11, 2018 to April 5, 2019. </p> <p>The top eight will advance to the playoffs, which will be held from April 16-30.</p> <p>The Final Four will be played between May 17-19 in single-elimination matchups.
