ISTANBUL (AA) – Anadolu Agency provides 63 percent of the photos published in national Turkish newspapers as well as 40 percent of the news reports, said Yilmaz Yaman, Anadolu Agency’s marketing and corporate communications director on Sunday.

On the final of the four-day Teknofest Istanbul, of which Anadolu Agency was the global communication partner, Yaman made a presentation and said the agency aims to provide “the fastest and [most] trustworthy ” news from the world to its subscribers.

The festival kicked off on Thursday and featured air shows, technology competitions, seminars on cutting-edge technology, and an international entrepreneurship summit, along with other activities.

As part of the festival, leading Turkish defense and technology institutions and firms such as Aselsan, Baykar, IGA, Isbak, Roketsan, TAI, Turkish Airlines, TUBITAK, and TURKSAT had organized competitions in 12 different categories.

Yaman said Anadolu Agency boasted news coverage in 13 languages and added: “We have offices in the U.S., at the United Nations, New York and Washington. In our Washington and New York offices alone, we have 17 people working. ”

He also stated the agency had an office at the Pentagon, which he said was a first for Turkey.
