BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) – Anadolu Agency marked the third anniversary of its Macedonian language service on Friday.
The agency launched the service on November 9, 2015 in capital Skopje.
It has so far produced 39,310 stories, 16,170 photo galleries and 9,427 videos from the Balkans, Turkey and the world, becoming one of the most important news sources in the region.
Macedonian service has a significant role in creating public awareness against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), which operates in different areas in Macedonia.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
Through its global network of correspondents, offices in 41 countries and representatives in 100 countries, Anadolu Agency is serving thousands of subscribers in 50 countries round the clock.
It currently posts news in 13 languages: Turkish, English, Arabic, French, Kurdish, BHS (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian), Russian, Albanian, Persian, Macedonian, Spanish, Indonesian and Kurmanji.
