ISTANBUL (AA) – Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s leading news source, on Thursday made its mark at an aerospace and technology festival at Istanbul’s new airport.

Anadolu Agency is the global communication partner of the four-day Teknofest Istanbul, set at the massive new airport, due to officially open next month.

The festival kicked off on Thursday and features air shows, aviation demonstrations, technology competitions, seminars on cutting-edge technology, and an international entrepreneurship summit, along with other activities.

Yilmaz Yaman, Anadolu Agency’s marketing and corporate communications director, said that Teknofest Istanbul is a large and important event successfully carried out by the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3).

“We’re supporting this project by being a global communications partner,” said Yaman.

“Anadolu Agency also has a stand at the festival,” he added.

“We have created a concept about how technology is used in journalism.”

“We told [visitors] about Anadolu Agency’s contributions to journalism as well as to technology and other areas,” he added.

As part of the festival, leading Turkish defense and technology institutions and firms such as Aselsan, Baykar, IGA, Isbak, Roketsan, TAI, Turkish Airlines, TUBITAK, and TURKSAT will organize competitions in 12 different categories.

Approaching its 100th anniversary in 2020, Anadolu Agency — the source for trusted news — offers news, photos and videos on Turkey, the world, the economy, sports, health, and technology.

It currently posts news in Turkish, English, Arabic, French, Kurdish, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian (BCS), Russian, Albanian, Persian, Macedonian, Spanish and Indonesian.

Anadolu Agency produces an average of 1,650 news stories, 2,330 photos, and 400 videos daily from nearly every continent, making it a global news agency.
