ANTALYA, Turkey (AA) – Anadolu Agency has digitalized all of its data produced since its establishment in 1920, said head of the news agency's archives department on Friday.

“Anadolu Agency has transferred all of its data onto the electronic platform since its establishment in 1920,” Huseyin Unal told a meeting on information management in the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya, adding that it now has over 38 million digitalized materials.

The Library, Archive and Museum Managers Congress and Fair — of which Anadolu Agency is the global communication partner and organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry — continued on its second day.

Unal added that the agency manages its data on the News Broadcasting System (HAS), which was developed with the agency's own resources.

Operating with 13 different languages in 97 countries, Unal said the agency produces 1,650 news articles, 2,300 photographs, 400 videos daily.

“We have 3,000 workers from 124 nationalities in 97 countries,” he added.
