GAZIANTEP, Turkey (AA) – Anadolu Agency covers developments in Turkey's largest aerospace and technology event, Teknofest, to the world in 13 different languages, a board member of the agency said.

Anadolu Agency has been the global communication partner of the event since it began in 2018, Saban Kizildag noted.

The agency assumed an important task to cover Teknofest for domestic and global media outlets, he noted.

"As Turkey's 100-year-old agency, we are honored to be the global communications partner of this event," he said.

The National Technology Move is a step towards the country's development, he said.

The National Technology Move refers to the transformation of Turkey’s technology industry through local and unique concepts created by its own people. The term was first used in 2017.

The four-day Teknofest festival started on Thursday in the southeastern province of Gaziantep and will end Sunday.

This year, the event will host fewer visitors and will be broadcast live through social media platforms due to the pandemic.

The annual event was scheduled for April, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
